Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Retail Complex in Universal City, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a leading retail location, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and interacting with the public to provide outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving position where you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment while upholding the Allied Universal values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order within the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.
- Collaborate with store personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support overall operations.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or incidents requiring an armed security presence.
