Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Hospital Patrol in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. This is an armed and driving position, where you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service while embodying Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
- Work collaboratively with facility personnel and local law enforcement as needed during emergencies or incidents.
- Remain alert and aware of the surroundings to help to deter potential threats and/or hazards within the healthcare setting.
