As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or potential hazards within the utility environment and report findings according to site protocols.
Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the utility property.
Document activities, observations, and incidents in detailed written reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related incidents or emergencies that may arise during patrols.
