You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations and support a professional customer experience while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 1 plus years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Maintain an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Maintain Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology and data-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, equipment areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or property damage.
  • Control access by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and vendor entry, and maintaining sign-in and badge processes consistent with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating notifications, and documenting events in written reports.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership per post orders.
