The primary responsibility is to deliver person-centered training to our workforce, individuals and community partners for all service lines that enhances quality and care to fulfill our purpose for existing “We believe the world shines brighter when people with developmental disabilities achieve their full potential.” This will occur in close collaboration with local operational leadership, clinical services & quality team, compliance team, and learning & development. This role will utilize standard operating practices, meeting local regulations, leveraging adult learning principles, and leveraging our technology to the fullest. Essential Duties include: Providing training around processes and state guidelines such Legal Rights/Guardianship, HIPPA/Confidentiality, Rights Restriction/Suspension, Overview of DD, Behavioral Interventions (ISL - Safety care), and Basics of PCSP’s for new hires and Host Home Providers as an in-person supplement to assigned Relias training. This involves active treatment training, supporting DSPs training and goals, assisting the program managers, participating in standups/huddles, and training calls. The role also covers training on PCSPs, Infection Control measures, documentation procedures, and EMAR, supplementing Relias courses with additional onsite support. On-the-job training for supported living managers regarding how to onboard Supervisors and DSP’s is also a key part, supplementing any onsite training needs for the ISL’s, Supervisors and DSP teams. The trainer will support quality Plan of Correction (POC) for re-training around ANEs, MANES, GERs, etc., liaising with L&D and providing in-person training as needed, such as wheelchair tiedown process and any additional in-person needs outside of assigned Relias courses. The Area Trainer will also serve as a Missouri subject matter expert for Therap and Therap training, capable of training new staff and providers on T-Logs, shift notes, activity logs, etc. The Training Role (50%) involves attending operations stand ups as needed, creating related training materials, following-up on training completion & documentation, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for Therap, Sharepoint, MSTeams Suite, and G/L, Relias. The trainer will train out processes and standardization of tasks as directed by the ADs and AVP. On a case-by-case basis and in coordination with L&D, they will assist the Area Directors on training issues related to the Managers of Residential Operations, sitting in meetings with ADs and Managers for support and training needs, and assisting staff with support in House meetings or retraining. They will train new staff and Host Home Providers on Attendance Billing, coordinating with Training & Development around attendance for these trainings. Providing Safety Care Training for Employees and sharing with the local L&D coordinator, uploading certificates to Relias, and providing First Aid/CPR instruction for both Host Home Providers and Employees, uploading records and documentation to Relias, are also part of the role. On a case-by-case basis, the trainer will be an SME for SharePoint, TEAMs, Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word) for employees and providers as needed, and will train on consistent processes across the state, working with the AVP on process improvement opportunities through training efforts.
