About The Position

The Area Sales Manager (On Premise) supervises, directs, coordinates, assists and follows-up on the efforts of the On Premise Sales team. This position is responsible for the execution of all sales and marketing programs necessary to positively impact sales, representation and merchandising of all the products sold by KEG 1 Missouri, LLC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Aggressively strive to maximize all sales opportunities of brands, packages and available promotional allowances. Expected to achieve sales results that meet or exceed Company averages for all domestic, specialty and import suppliers. Analyze and evaluate sales, distribution and market data, communicating findings to the appropriate personnel with follow-up as needed. Develop incentive programs within Company budgets to enhance the motivation of all On Premise personnel. Direct and coordinate promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry. Work with product suppliers to develop new brand/package strategies for successful introduction and delivery to market. Coordinate and execute brewery programs toward achieving initiatives and optimum sales. Establish a relationship with both retailers and suppliers as a “partner/consultant.” Ensure product freshness at retail through KEG 1 Missouri Quality Program processes. All accounts must be thoroughly rotated a minimum of once per month. Close-dated product that will not move through the account must be removed from retail prior to going out of date. Out-of-date product must be removed from retail per Company protocols. Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of employees to ensure the most qualified individuals are hired for sales positions. Coach and develop the selling skills and performance results of assigned team members. Motivate, manage, coach and direct reports in their responsibilities and activities. Instill teamwork toward common goals and objectives. Provide training, development, direction, and follow-up through the consistent execution of the On Premise Sales team “work with” program. Set high standards of performance relative to all key competencies and monitor to ensure achievement. Continuously direct and evaluate the efforts of the Sales Representative (On Premise) and Sales Associate (On Premise) in the areas of sales, distribution, displays, space management, signage, rotation, customer service and other assigned responsibilities. Conduct performance appraisals of each direct report on a regular basis. Be prepared to take corrective action to improve any deficiencies in assigned staff performance through counseling and/or progressive discipline forms. Ensure proper staff is available prior to approving vacations. Ensure daily objectives are set with the Sales Representative (On Premise) and Sales Associate (On Premise) in accordance with established monthly Company goals. Regularly, monitor and follow up in order to maximize individual performance. Cultivate and maintain open lines of communication with assigned staff, as well as all other Company departments on a daily basis to ensure the needs of KEG 1 Missouri, LLC, its associates and retailers can be met and satisfied in a timely manner. Take an active role in preparation/presentation of training and development modules during Company sales meetings. Promote organization in industry, manufacturing, or trade associations. Strive to build and maintain favorable reputation of KEG 1 Missouri, LLC to fulfill vision of being the “Preferred Supplier” with our customers. Participate in supplier quality assurance programs. Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping. Answer and satisfy customer complaints whenever possible to build positive business relationships. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.

Requirements

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience – Three (3) to five (5) years sales and/or management experience, prefer CPG industry
  • Licensing – valid Driver License
