Region Details: The Area Manager will be expected to office out of our Portland Regional Office. Schedule: Monday through Friday. Role Overview: Prime Residential’s Area Managers are responsible for maximizing the long-term operating performance of multiple properties. They drive talent management, excellence in resident and prospect experience, and manage financials to maximize asset performance. This role ensures operational excellence across all aspects of property management, including people, product, promotion, and price. Area Managers make sound business decisions in a dynamic environment and uphold consistent operating procedures. They proactively ensure financial success and develop a talented team to maintain the high standards expected in our communities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of multi-site managerial experience in residential property management.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to employment, fair housing, and landlord/tenant laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience in managing, building, and influencing teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Confidence in dealing with financial statements and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, engage, and retain exceptional property management professionals in office and maintenance positions.
  • Support and develop Assistant Managers, Community Directors, Senior Community Directors, and Service Managers in managing associates and understanding the business.
  • Follow protocols in documenting employee issues and managing risk.
  • Execute marketing plans, maintain curb appeal and advertising focus, and evaluate cost per lease and traffic strategies.
  • Monitor property performance relative to budget and adapt to changes.
  • Maintain and adjust community goals for resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Build and maintain a customer-focused culture of respect, responsiveness, and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce leasing and maintenance goals for all associates.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local employment, fair housing, and landlord-tenant laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk Management, and Human Resources on safety and risk issues at properties.
