Job Skills / Requirements Area Manager – Janitorial Operations (Overnight) Schedule Friday–Monday | 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM (4 ten-hour shifts) ESS Clean is seeking a hands-on Area Manager to oversee overnight janitorial operations across multiple client sites. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who excels at quality control, client communication, and operational execution in a fast-paced environment. The Area Manager owns day-to-day operations for a group of client sites. You’ll hire, train, and coach associates, monitor quality through regular inspections, and make sure every customer concern gets swift, complete follow-up. Schedule Friday–Monday | 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM (4 ten-hour shifts)

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • 2+ years of management experience in janitorial, facilities, or building services
  • Strong judgment and ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized; able to manage multiple sites simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (email, spreadsheets, documents)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership Train and coach janitorial staff to ensure performance standards are met
  • Address performance or attendance issues promptly and document actions
  • Reinforce company policies, procedures, and expectations on-site
  • Quality Control & Customer Care Inspect each facility on a scheduled basis and correct deficiencies immediately
  • Respond to client questions or complaints the same day and follow through to resolution
  • Identify and coordinate special services such as deep cleans and floor care
  • Operations & Compliance Review and approve employee timecards; submit payroll data accurately and on time
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to maintain par levels without waste
  • Enforce all safety policies; investigate and report incidents immediately
  • Complete required company training and certifications
