About The Position

Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an experienced Area General Manager to lead a high‑profile, multi‑site food service portfolio across Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage prestigious corporate and financial clients, oversee a $6M+ managed volume, and lead strong on‑site and regional teams. The Area General Manager will be based on‑site at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, serving as the primary operational and client leader, while providing administrative and strategic oversight for three additional locations in Baltimore, Charlotte, and Richmond. You will oversee food operations across four distinguished accounts, featuring café, catering, and coffee shop Federal Reserve Bank – Richmond, VA Café (5 stations), catering, and coffee shop Federal Reserve Bank – Baltimore, MD Café (3 stations) and catering Federal Reserve Bank – Charlotte, NC Café (4 stations) and catering Hunton Andrews Kurth Law Firm – Richmond, VA Café (4 stations) and catering All cafés operate Monday–Friday, serving breakfast and lunch only.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Area/Regional Manager in food service, hospitality, or corporate dining
  • Strong background in financial management, client relations, and team leadership
  • Ability to balance hands‑on leadership with strategic oversight
  • Professional presence and confidence working with high‑profile corporate and institutional clients
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on‑site General Manager for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
  • Lead day‑to‑day operations, ensuring excellence in food quality, service, and safety
  • Own the budget, forecasting, and financial performance for the full area portfolio
  • Drive efficiency and profitability across a combined $6M+ managed volume
  • Directly lead a team of 3 salaried managers and approximately 30 hourly employees at the Richmond location
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and administrative oversight for management teams at the Baltimore, Charlotte, and law firm accounts
  • Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Act as the primary client partner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
  • Maintain strong executive‑level relationships across all accounts
  • Ensure Sodexo consistently exceeds client expectations and contract commitments
  • Provide strategic and administrative leadership for three additional locations
  • Ensure brand standards, operational consistency, and financial discipline across all sites
  • Support site leaders with best practices, problem‑solving, and performance improvement
