About The Position

The Area Franchise Lead II is responsible for supporting assigned Church’s Texas Chicken (CTC) franchisees and Markets within the United States to be successful in the following key areas: Portfolio Management Sales & Transactions Growth Unit level Profitability Execution of Market Plans Asset transformation New Restaurant Support Operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of QSR or restaurant operations experience
  • Experience in hiring, training, people development
  • Track record of delivering excellence in guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge and experience in multi-unit restaurant operations
  • Experience in franchise agreements and contract compliance.
  • Demonstrable history of relationship building and ability to positively influence franchisees.
  • General knowledge of support areas, including H.R., training, marketing, finance and development.
  • Has excellent communication, influential, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Speaks English fluently, bilingual is a plus.
  • Demonstrates ethical behavior and upholds company values.
  • Comfortable working independently and with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Market Plans Work with cross functional team to develop market plan(s) by DMA across Operations, Marketing, Assets, Financial and Technology Ownership and accountability to drive performance of the plan with franchisees in the market Identify and Develop KPIs and 30 / 60 / 90 day check-in cadence
  • Portfolio Management Work with assigned medium and large franchisees to drive key strategic initiatives across their portfolio Develop and lead comprehensive plans with quarterly KPIs Drive portfolio compliance with key brand standards Expert on Franchise Business Relations Build strong relationships with franchisees. Support business planning, profitability, marketing initiatives and restaurant operations. Work with franchisees to ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Sales and Transaction growth Ensure execution of approved marketing initiatives. Guide franchisees to develop improvement plans for under-performing restaurants. Review sales and transaction performance with franchisees.
  • Unit Level Profitability Support financial performance for franchise restaurants. Work with finance team to identify P & L opportunities. Utilize financial tools and reports to develop plans to improve unit level profitability. Participate in Period Franchise Business Reviews.
  • New restaurant opening support (NROs) and Reimages Point person for weekly countdown calls – 10 weeks prior to opening. Provide on-site support of new restaurant openings – orientation, training, operations execution. Support construction team with updates on reimage projects. Work with FMM to develop Grand Opening Plans.
  • Franchise Business Reviews (FBRs) Conduct FBRs with all assigned franchisees. Develop Improvement Plan for opportunity areas. Schedule financial reviews. Schedule follow-up FBRs where applicable.
  • Franchise Meetings Own Business Information Meetings (BIMs). Take lead on market restaurant visits (schedule, provide restaurant profiles). Schedule targeted Ops Improvement visits (RAV, operations follow-up).
  • Guest Satisfaction Communicate and review the period Scorecard with franchisees. Review and follow up on metrics with all franchisees – review Medallia, Service Check, OPS 360, RAVs. Ensure LTO materials are received and posted. Follow-up on LTO training and ensure that RVT visits are conducted.
  • Training Achieve brand standard for PTE Knowledge Score. Improve MIT and Food Safety certifications. Work with the Training team to roll out new initiatives. Participate in training Webcasts and drive attendance.
  • Brand Compliance Ensure completion of RAV Corrective Action Plans. Communicate and take corrective action to mitigate critical brand standards.
  • Continued Development (Area Franchise Lead) Financial - attend financial Workshop training (P & L Analysis). Marketing – attend all marketing meetings with franchisees. Conduct market visits with FMM Development & Construction – attend bi-weekly reimage and NRO update calls Leadership - continue to develop leadership skills (books: Dale Carnegie Book, HR Workshops, Team building activities)
