About The Position
Functional Pathways is a therapist-owned organization with over 30 years of experience serving Skilled Nursing Facilities, Senior Living Communities, hospitals, and home-based residents, deeply committed to patient-centered care, strong clinical partnerships, and supporting team members. The Area Director of Operations (ADO) leads the oversight and management of multiple facilities, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Must meet all certification and licensure requirements as established by the state and national board associations
- Active state license
- Must possess a current certification from NBCOT if required by state (OT/COTAs only)
- Must possess a current certification from ASHA (CCC) Certification (SLPs only)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Must have multi-site management experience (1-3yrs)
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to the greater Chicago area
Responsibilities
- Lead the oversight and management of multiple facilities
- Ensure seamless operations and high-quality care
- Conduct facility visits
- Foster on-site engagement
- Identify problems
- Ensure staff accessibility
- Conduct structured meetings with Team Leaders
- Collaborate with facility administrators
- Maintain close communication with the RVP of Operations
- Oversee documentation, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Spearhead quality assurance measures
- Implement rehabilitation programs
