About The Position

Functional Pathways is seeking an Area Director of Operations (ADO) for the Chicago, Illinois area. This role involves leading the oversight and management of multiple facilities, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality patient care. The ADO will conduct facility visits, foster on-site engagement, identify problems, and ensure staff accessibility. Key responsibilities include conducting structured meetings with Team Leaders, collaborating with facility administrators, and maintaining close communication with the RVP of Operations. The ADO will also oversee documentation, evaluations, and disciplinary actions, and spearhead quality assurance measures and implement rehabilitation programs. Functional Pathways is a therapist-owned organization with over 30 years of experience serving Skilled Nursing Facilities, Senior Living Communities, hospitals, and home-based residents, committed to patient-centered care and supporting team members.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Must meet all certification and licensure requirements as established by the state and national board associations
  • Active state license
  • Must possess a current certification from NBCOT if required by state – OT/COTAs only
  • Must possess a current certification from ASHA (CCC) Certification – SLPs only
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
  • Must have multi-site management experience (1-3yrs)
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the greater Chicago area
