About The Position

In the Architectural Intern role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting Architects, Interior Designers, and Foodservice Designers across the full design lifecycle, contributing to real-world projects in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will primarily support the development of construction documents from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and applying industry tools to deliver design solutions that enhance resident and staff experiences.   • intermediate proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in Architecture, Architectural Studies, or Interior Architecture
  • Experience using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • A portfolio of academic work is required to be considered for this position
  • Ability to work 32–40 hours per week during the summer (late May through August)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design related software: Autodesk Forma, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, Bluebeam, SketchUp
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office productivity software

Responsibilities

  • Support design teams across multiple phases of new construction and renovation projects
  • Assist in evaluating spatial conditions, constraints, and opportunities to inform design solutions
  • Set up and organize technical drawing packages for schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
  • Produce and update drawings including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, equipment plans, and finish plans based on markups and direction from designers
  • Manage and update Revit models, external references, and drawing files while communicating changes to the team
  • Assist in developing project budgets and schedules using design tools and linked documentation
  • Research products and materials to support design intent and ensure proper installation and performance
  • Support building code research and application based on project requirements and site conditions
  • Collaborate effectively with Architects, Designers, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality work
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative studio environment
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance team processes and outcomes
