About The Position

Position Highlights: Position: Aquatic Swim Instructor - Wellness Center Location: Arlington Heights, IL Per Diem Hours: Saturdays or Sundays starting at 10:00 AM; Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 PM; Tuesdays starting at 6:15 PM; Fridays starting at 1:00 PM Required Travel: No What you will do: Teaching individual and semi-private swim lessons, with a strong emphasis on water safety, proper technique, and building confidence in the water.

Requirements

The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of high school
Minimum two years' experience in related field required
Lifeguard certification preferred
USMS Masters Coaching Certified or USA Swim preferred
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
AED required
Water Safety Instructor certification through accredited US Swimming Foundation

Responsibilities

Planning engaging lessons tailored to student needs
Clearly demonstrating swimming strokes and techniques
Closely observing students' progress and providing constructive feedback

Regularly assess student progress to adapt instruction accordingly
