About The Position
Are you ready to have some fun in the sun while working at a pool or lake? The City of Olathe is looking for energetic, outdoor-loving people to be concessions workers for the upcoming 2026 summer. Come make a splash working as a member of the seasonal aquatic staff for the City of Olathe! MUST BE 14 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER STARTING HOURLY PAY RANGE: $13.50 - $14.50 (based on experience) For more details, review the full job details and requirements below. The Aquatic Customer Service job requires work in the areas of facility admissions and concessions, rotating between both areas. The work includes selling food & drinks, collecting money for admission and verifying memberships while also maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment and monitoring food & drink inventory.
Requirements
- This job requires the ability to follow accurate money handling procedures.
- None required for Education.
- None required for Licenses & Certifications.
- Proficiency with verbal and written English language required.
Nice To Haves
- Additional proficiency with Spanish and American Sign Language preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers and provides excellent customer service.
- Answers inquiries and provides information about admission prices and concession offerings.
- Ensures a smooth and organized entry process for customers, including accurate collection of fees and other payments.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in the concession area.
- Monitors and restocks concession inventory and report shortages.
