About The Position

- The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Lifestream Behavioral Center will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral issues. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as appropriate. The APRN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and support the overall mission of the center.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification
  • Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Experience in psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in behavioral health

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatment, adjusting as necessary.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development and improve patient care.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and rights within the healthcare system and community resources.
