The APRN will operate in accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care, and Code of Ethics. This role involves conducting comprehensive medical evaluations for individuals receiving outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, including performing MOUD inductions and managing ongoing pharmacotherapy (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone as applicable). The APRN will also provide clinical services within Department of Corrections settings, adhering to all security and operational protocols and supporting continuity of care for individuals transitioning between incarceration and community-based treatment. A key aspect of the position is interdisciplinary collaboration, participating in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and utilization reviews, and providing clinical consultation and guidance to nursing staff related to MOUD and medication safety. The role requires completing timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensuring compliance with CT DPH, DMHAS, DEA, DOC, ASAM, and CARF standards, as well as participating in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and survey preparation activities.
