About The Position

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time APRN/Physician Assistant to join the Primary Care walk in clinic team in the Fort Myers, FL area. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience. Advanced providers focus on assessments to care for our patients. Physician Assistants/APRN's work under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will be responsible for ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays, perform urinary catheter insertion and management, Administer IV fluids, IV antibiotics and IV diuretics. You will diagnosis and treat both acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections and injuries. You will also prescribe medications and other treatments as well as manage our patient's overall well-being (comprehensive care). You are expected to consult with the supervising Physician on any complicated diagnoses and make treatment decisions collectively. You may in some cases take the office overflow of patients or may build your own "practice". Depending on patient load, you may have a medical assistant to assist with patient care and follow-up. Walk -in -Clinic Position Full Time M-F 9 am-5 pm Fort Myers, Florida Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time APRN/Physician Assistant to join the Primary Care walk in clinic team in the Fort Myers, FL area. Physician Assistants/APRN's work under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will be responsible for treating and diagnosing acute and chronic exacerbated conditions in the Walk-In-Clinic. You will be responsible for ordering labs/imaging, performing common WIC procedures (suturing, I&Ds, ear lavage), ordering IV fluids/antibiotics/diuretics when appropriate, reviewing patient charts to ensure the best care, and prescribing appropriate medications. We would also like you to be proficient in Foley catheter placement and management for acute urinary retention patients You are expected to consult with the supervising Physician on any complicated diagnoses and make treatment decisions collectively. you will have at minimum 1 a medical assistant to assist with patient care and follow-up. Requirements

  • Florida APRN or PA License & Board Certification
  • Experience working in Urgent Care
  • Experience working in the Emergency Department
  • Experience with ordering and treating patients with IV fluids, IV antibiotics, IV diuretics
  • Experience performing Urinary catheter insertion and management in acute urinary retention patients
  • strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems
  • ability to stand, walk, climb and balance
  • ability to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

  • Athena knowledge preferred but not required
