We are looking for candidates that want to continue Aprio's standard of excellence and dive straight into hands-on accounting projects. This is the application for the Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas offices. The Summer 2026 (June - August) Internship Program both provide students with on-the-job training and real-world experiences. Interns get the opportunity to work with small, medium, and large clients and they will benefit from a diverse client base, one-on-one contact with clients and partners, and the opportunity to develop a solid general foundation. Each intern class completes a group project involving volunteering and social impact. Position Overview The CAS RF&H Internship offers accounting students hands-on exposure to client accounting work in a collaborative, in-person environment. Interns will support CAS teams with core accounting processes, develop practical skills through progressive responsibility, and gain insight into the day-to-day work of an associate. This internship is designed as an early-career pipeline, providing meaningful experience and potential opportunities beyond the summer term.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting (required).
  • Completed at least sophomore year.
  • Able to work full-time during Summer 2026 in an in-person environment.
  • Strong character, detail orientation, and a demonstrated willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable asking questions, taking feedback, and improving quickly through coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow CAS RF&H workflows and documentation standards
  • Pull and organize reports to support monthly/recurring accounting activities.
  • Reconcile reports and assist with basic account tie-outs and variance follow-up.
  • Support CAS accountants with recurring tasks and internal requests (administrative + accounting support).
  • As you progress, take on increasing ownership—and for interns who extend beyond summer, potentially begin supporting client work directly.
