About The Position

This individual is responsible for scheduling incoming patient appointments with necessary physician according to referring doctor preference as well as ocular triage. Our scheduling team members always present with professionalism and excellent customer service skills. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Two years minimum experience in medical practice. Essential Skills and Abilities: Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling. Excellent customer service and communication skills Basic knowledge of insurance network information Ability to work as a team member. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Empathetic personality giving attention to patients’ needs and concerns. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments from incoming calls.
  • Reschedules appointments as directed by supervisor
  • Enters data into the software system that confirms appointments
  • Handles incoming scheduling calls and adds the data into that practice management system
  • Assists in general office duties and other duties, as requested.
  • Assists with managing confirmation call software.
