About The Position

This position is for individuals who are interested in being considered for Appointed Professional Opportunities within Shelby County General Sessions Court Clerk’s Office. All required duties will be performed within an assigned area of the General Sessions Courts Departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or possess a GED.
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
  • Ability to display excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with the public and co-workers with courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, professional and diverse environment.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion in evaluating situations and making sound decisions.
  • Good communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Must be thorough and dependable when performing various job assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Microsoft products, including Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Composes general correspondence.
  • Follows up and carries out various duties.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed.
