About The Position

The Applications Systems Analyst is responsible for the strategic and operational management of enterprise-wide IT systems. The individual will work within a group environment to develop, maintain, monitor and enhance the performance and functionality of Ventas systems to meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, computer science or related field
  • 2+ years of Financial Systems management experience (maintenance and development) in a real estate environment preferred.
  • Must be located in the Chicago, IL or Louisville, KY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with the judgment to operate independently while taking direction effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate across IT teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including active listening and clear, professional delivery.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • REIT, other real estate or Investment/Asset Management experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with real estate accounting enterprise software platforms is strongly desired, including finance and accounting systems, budgeting and forecasting systems, work order ticketing systems, construction management systems, and deal management systems, such as Entrata, MRI, Yardi, or RealPage.
  • Familiarity with legal billing, document, workflow, diagramming, and matter management, insurance claim filing, sustainability and energy management, and risk analytic platforms would all be very helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Provide user service and support in assigned enterprise systems.
  • Assist users in troubleshooting issues with system integrations and reconciliations.
  • Perform stabilization, break/fix, and other maintenance activities (including system upgrades).
  • Work with the business to develop and capture requirements and design specifications for system enhancements.
  • Develop, test and implement system enhancements.
  • Develop and document test plans, policies, standards, procedures and checklists.
  • Assess, design and provide application training.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement application solutions and improvements.
