Bold Group, a division of EverCommerce, serves the electronic security industry with the most comprehensive array of alarm monitoring and integrated business management software solutions tailored to achieve optimal business performance. OCCASIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED As an Application Trainer, you will play a key role in supporting new and existing Bold Group customers as they learn to use our software. You'll deliver engaging training sessions focused on system setup, day-to-day operations, and best practices. Your responsibilities include guiding customers through standard training programs, leading admin and end-user sessions, assisting with data validation walkthroughs, and helping ensure a smooth onboarding experience. You’ll work closely with internal teams to align training content with project milestones and customer needs. The Application Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging, effective training to new and existing customers using our alarm monitoring and business management software. This role supports successful onboarding and product adoption by providing clear instruction, user-focused learning experiences, and essential product knowledge across our suite of solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software application consulting, software training, professional services, product-focused sales, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of security industry best practices or the ability to quickly develop industry expertise.
  • Proven experience delivering customer-facing software application training.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, including interaction with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to systematically investigate issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a technical role within the alarm monitoring or business management software industry.
  • Familiarity with Bold Group business management systems such as Managely, SedonaOffice, or AlarmBiller.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementations, including system configuration, installation, Go-Live support, and a working knowledge of accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level application training to business management customers, virtual or in-person.
  • Lead customer training engagements, onboarding new clients on core software functionality to support successful implementation.
  • Deliver the full training portfolio, including system setup, administration, application usage, add-on modules, and integrations.
  • Assess customers’ existing business processes and workflows and provide guidance on effectively transitioning those processes from legacy systems into Bold Group solutions.
  • Consult with customers to identify implementation use cases, user roles, workflows, and application requirements.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to develop, maintain, and manage client-facing training materials, including documentation, agendas, audit checklists, and training resources.
  • Advise customers on process improvements and best practices to maximize product adoption, utilization, and overall satisfaction with Bold Group solutions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to deliver in-application training and solutions for at-risk customers, helping to reduce churn and improve retention.
  • Work closely with technical consultants during data conversion and implementation phases to guide data structure, reporting, and configuration best practices.
  • Support customer re-engagement initiatives, including identifying add-on, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities, to enhance customer experience and product value.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Bold Group applications by supporting Sales and Marketing teams as needed.
  • Contribute to industry-facing content, including webinars, white papers, case studies, blogs, and other thought leadership materials.
  • Develop and document application best practices with a focus on user experience and usability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Bold Group products, technologies, and industry trends through continuous learning.
  • Represent Bold Group at trade shows, conferences, and customer events, supporting sales efforts as an application SME, as needed.
  • Participate in internal product testing and validation efforts as an application subject matter expert, as needed.
  • Travel up to 10% to customer sites, conferences, or trade shows as required.
