Dinsmore is seeking an Application Support Analyst at our Cincinnati, OH location (hybrid) to provide technical support for the firm's desktop, server applications, related technology. The role includes maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing software related issues. This includes, but is not limited to, support for all firm approved premise and cloud based software. This position reports to the IT Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related duties and responsibilities; prior law firm background preferred
  • Expert level or the ability to readily achieve expert level in support of Microsoft products within our environment. This includes having an expert understanding of implemented application integration within the Microsoft environment.
  • Ability to proactively monitor ticketing logs from the Help Desk to trend issues that require long term resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and constructively with employees, supervisors, and management in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with users and vendors in a manner that builds confidence and acceptance of MIS personnel by responding to production problems in accordance with priority
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ongoing desire to learn new technologies and provide subject matter expertise in areas of responsibilities
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends when necessary
  • Contribute to projects in conjunction with co-workers and/or outside contractors and vendors
  • Ability to communicate and document comprehensive technical issues for a non-technical audience in a professional manner
  • Self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Become subject matter expert on core applications as well as trend and recommend associated upgrade paths. Current applications include, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, iManage, LegalBar, Docket Enterprise, and Interaction
  • Identify skill gaps of practice areas or specific users by analyzing workflows and user requests in order to identify how technology can deliver more efficient solutions. Training benefits
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing, and quality assurance of new software applications and updates
  • Participate in the design, documentation, implementation and training of technology-based workflow to support client and practice group needs
  • Coordinate with other areas/departments where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures to streamline and satisfy practice area needs
  • Support adherence to firm standards and use of firm-supported hardware and software
  • Study existing products, new products, and technologies to obtain an advanced level of knowledge
  • Provide escalated coverage of the Help Desk and backup support to other team members as necessary
  • Travel as needed to various offices to participate in either training or new project initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
