About The Position

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to support one of our healthcare clients in Texas. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, oversight, and ongoing management of critical software applications that support hospital operations. This direct hire position is a fully onsite role. The Application Support Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the functionality, performance, reliability, security, fault tolerance, and operational continuity of hospital applications and the IT-dependent business processes they enable. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, healthcare industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills to support both operational and strategic application initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4–10 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Industry-specific training and demonstrated knowledge of healthcare applications.
  • Associate-level or professional-level industry certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple relevant technologies and applications.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver projects of significant scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, support, and maintain assigned software applications.
  • Partner with hospital departments and super-users to optimize application functionality and workflows.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications, departments, or service lines.
  • Act as general support for hospital applications and specialist support for larger departments or multiple smaller departments, as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for applications, databases, interfaces, and associated services.
  • Maintain configuration and deployment documentation to support rapid recovery and business continuity.
  • Contribute to departmental knowledge bases to improve system documentation and problem resolution.
  • Ensure application security and protection of sensitive information in accordance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and industry standards.
  • Monitor application performance, capacity, and lifecycle to ensure ongoing reliability and scalability.
  • Implement preventative measures to maintain software security, performance, and compliance.
  • Monitor software usage to ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Analyze and resolve application issues of varying complexity using established tools and documentation standards.
  • Resolve assigned service and support requests in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate support efforts for major issues and escalations as assigned.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in assigned projects, delivering on significant workloads with minimal supervision.
  • Provide input into projects, training initiatives, and application-related process improvements.
  • Serve as project manager or workstream lead for application projects, as assigned.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new application solutions to support hospital business objectives.
  • Direct project work teams when assigned by management or project leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with HIS and non-HIS departments to support hospital initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and cross-functional initiatives as required.
  • Communicate effectively through both verbal and written formats with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
