About The Position

The Application Engineering Intern - Industrial Automation will identify and build an automation related project while assisting in creating and developing technical resources that help customers better utilize Digi-Key's industrial automation products and solutions. This can include creating videos that show our products use, developing formulas that customers use in our tools, and adding visual images to written content as related to that project.

Requirements

  • Junior (or greater) in pursuit of an Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronic Engineering Tech (EET), Industrial Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Controls Systems Engineering or related fields or study.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team while managing multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a helpful customer service orientation
  • High organization and office software skills
  • Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: attention to detail, communication proficiency, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, marketing capacity, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving/analysis, professionalism, project management, time management and thoroughness
  • Eligible for work in the United States of America without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, collect, and organize technical content that is deployed online for customer engineers to learn about and apply automation devices that Digi-Key sells.
  • Assist with content curation and working together with marketing leadership to ensure the technical content is on point with Digi-Key branding
  • Assist with technical content creation to drive engagement and quality leads
  • Create and curate technical content for various areas on the company website
  • Maintain technical competence through research, supplier trainings, and hands on learning
  • Provide suggestions and feedback on site features, functionality, and content to improve the customer experience
  • Manage multiple projects effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
