About The Position

We are looking for a motivated Application Engineer to be the key technical link between our products and our customers in the general data acquisition (DAQ) market. What You Will Be Doing (Your Core Mission) You will use your technical expertise to support the sales process and ensure customer success, focusing on the general data acquisition (DAQ) market. Become a Trusted Technical Advisor: Build strong relationships with top customers and be their go-to expert on DEWESoft hardware and software solutions. Drive Technical Demand: Understand customer needs and industry trends to recommend and influence future technical challenges, ensuring they see the value of DEWESoft products. Support Sales: Work closely with the Sales team to understand the market. Create technical documentation (case studies, demo files, training materials) to increase their efficiency and success rate. Provide Product Feedback: Be the "voice of the customer" by collecting valuable feedback and industry insights to help guide DEWESoft's future product development.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of field experience, with a 2-4 year degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation/Controls Engineering (or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation and sensor technology, especially in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to travel significantly (50%-75%) within the U.S. and Canada to visit customer sites.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a remote team.
  • The ability to quickly learn different technical areas and troubleshoot complex customer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems, Controllers, Drives, and PLC equipment (e.g., AB, Siemens).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA).
