To enhance our successful Application Engineering Team in San José (CA), we are looking for a passionate Application Engineer We are looking for an experienced, self-driven and result-orientated Application Engineer to join our growing Application Engineering Team in San José (CA). In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for all technical matters in relation to defined customers and functions within AT&S.
Requirements
- Technical education with a strong focus on engineering
- Min 2 years working experience within the electronics supply chain – either prior to PCB (e.g., Electronics design, Reliabilty, etc.) or after PCB (e.g., PCBA, DFM, Testing, Reliability, etc.)
- Strong customer and market orientation with the ability to recognize future trends
- Willingness to participate and lead technical exchange with international partners (internal and external)
- Team-orientated with ability to communicate and interact with cross-functional teams and customers
- Strong project management skills
- Fluent in written and oral English (additional languages are a plus)
Responsibilities
- Ensure daily business as well as recognize, identify and communicate technical trends and needs
- Lead technical initiatives and projects as well as representation of the AT&S group towards the market, specifically for dedicated accounts
- Understand, collect and maintain technical features and system demands from dedicated customers as well as overall potential market
- Conduct prelim feasibility checks, plant allocation, and calculations as well as identification of potential cost savings
