About The Position

As an Applications Engineer I you will play a crucial role in supporting the Phoenix Controls factory based in Acton, Massachusetts. You will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders on programs and projects to ensure their successful execution. Your expertise in our applications and attention to detail will be instrumental in driving efficiency and effectiveness within the factory. This role entails managing SKU's and catalog numbers of variant configurable parts, managing "Specials" requests, working with product offering to manage price increases, assisting the business in transitioning to a new e-commerce platform, and managing process documentation as needed. AutoCad Lite is used for this role. You must be willing to learn complex products, applications, and work directly with customers to assist in choosing the correct products for given applications. You will report directly to our Sr. Program Supervisor and you'll work out of our Acton, MA location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of the Phoenix Controls factory by ensuring the smooth execution of programs and projects and managing the legacy portfolio of products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Documentation, Marketing, Sales, and Production to identify and mitigate risks, monitor project performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in Pre-Sales engineering, product collaboration, product selection or other related roles
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in various programs and projects within the Phoenix Controls factory
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Manage legacy SKU's, obsolete products, and change orderable features
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practicesCreate and manage wiring diagrams in AutoCad Lite, work on BIM and Revit models
  • Utilize SAP for product bills of materials
  • Grow to be subject matter expert in Critical Environment airflow systems
  • Occasional travel for company events or training
