Currently looking for an Application Developer to join our IT team. We are looking for a candidate who has a great attitude and a desire to grow their career in a fast-paced environment to fill an onsite role as an Application Developer in our IT Department. This position is not a remote work position. Job Summary: This position is responsible for customizing and coding the software for computer programs, designing prototype applications, implementing and testing source code, troubleshooting software applications and collaborating with the team to set specifications for new applications and developing software solutions to meet operation needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as application developer
  • Experience in designing and building applications.
  • Ability to program in at least one object oriented programming language such as C#, PHP etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified application developer is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications.
  • Design creative prototypes according to specifications.
  • Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines.
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch.
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features.
  • Develop technical documents accurately representing application design and code.
  • Creating and implementing the source code of new applications.
  • Testing source code and debugging code.
  • Evaluating existing applications and performing updates and modifications.
  • Developing technical handbooks to represent the design and code of new applications.
  • Train with other departments to understand workflow and processes.
  • Coordinate & Liaise with other departments to resolve development issues.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
