We are one team, working together to get things done. Job Description: Office Location: Abilene, Texas, United States This is an in office position. SCOPE/CONTACTS: Will provide technical support for company employees. Will be a member of a Help Desk team that will provide remote or in person technical support in the areas of computer operating system and hardware, Microsoft applications, financial accounting applications, email, troubleshooting basic network connectivity. Communicate with vendors to determine resolution for IT hardware and application platforms. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides remote and on-site software installation services; ensures software applications are fully functional. Assists the customer on use and feature functionality of the application. Communicates the customer’s needs/expectations to appropriate personnel. Notifies appropriate personnel of any application issues. May analyze transaction processing. Help identify software functionality and verify configuration of parameters. Required to help test, implement, and evaluate new/existing software/applications. Must be able to learn quickly, be detail oriented, and have effective communication skills. Proactively initiates positive change, ready to take independent action, make decisions and prepares in advance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree and 1-year work experience Ability to work holidays, weekends, or extended hours when required Periodic assignment to after-hours support Desire and ability to self-manage and learn diverse software applications Self-starter, detail-oriented and logical thinker with strong troubleshooting skills Experience in supporting end users remotely via telephone and/or remote desktop applications Strong customer service skills, written and verbal communications Experience with Microsoft 10 Operating System PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in supporting IT technologies Experience in software installation and configurations Experience in banking or accounting software systems (Jack Henry Silverlake systems) are a plus Information Technology Certifications Microsoft Office certification is a plus The above statements reflect the general details considered necessary to decide the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
