About The Position

Responsible for the technical configuration and administration of system, utility, database, and application software technology used within the IT organization. Acts as the liaison between the hardware systems engineering staff and applications staff to properly configure operating system and middleware software needed for the proper running of any business application or utility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains overall system environment including monitoring and tuning of performance and capacity.
  • Creates and maintains documents and diagrams depicting system architecture, processes, and related IT functions.
  • Coordinates work with vendor and internal engineering groups on hardware troubleshooting and component replacements.
  • Provides general support and troubleshooting on assigned software systems and their integration into the infrastructure environments.
  • Provides support for any software utilities as needed within assigned system environments.
  • Assists in the evaluation of new software packages related to assigned duties and makes recommendations to management pertaining to acquisition and use.
  • Assists with disaster recovery preparedness and testing of applicable technology.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents issues with application lifecycle management systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development to determine root causes.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop and implement processes and procedures for application lifecycle management tools and other third-party applications used in support of application development and responsible for keeping documentation and architectural diagrams current.
  • Directly supports software development teams for application lifecycle management tool needs and instructs end users in the use of application lifecycle management tools and processes.
  • Performing, assisting, and coordinating extract, transform, load (“ETL”) Administration to support data transfer from Epic and into downstream reporting tools in the Cogito suite, as well as to Databricks or other DBMS platforms.
  • Performing, assisting, and coordinating validations of data integrity within Epic Cogito products (Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, SSAS Cubes, etc).
  • 24x7 On-call responsibilities for any of these in-scope descriptors of work expectations (e.g Clarity, Caboodle, Cubes, ODIN, Databricks, etc).
  • Staying current with Epic release documentation and identifying gaps in current process; communicating that gap with lead/manager, and completing, timely, vendor required changes as needed to stay operational and in compliance with vendor.
  • Communicating any successes, struggles, challenges, or change requests with lead/manager in a timely fashion before escalations would be needed.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with our organization’s dba/server/networking group to satisfy approved project work.
  • Implementing new or updating existing servers, applications, processes, modules, and or queries from direction of lead/manager.
  • Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
