About The Position

GSG is seeking an experienced, highly skilled API/.NET Developer to join our team on a highly hands-on modernization project. This role focuses on redesigning and modernizing legacy Windows applications currently hosted on-premises, with migration to Azure. The ideal candidate is highly technical, hands-on, and comfortable assessing architectural approaches while delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance or other relevant area.
10 years of progressive technical experience in a financial services organization.
Deep hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET.
Strong understanding of multi-processing, tasking, and threading.
Proficient in SQL Server and enterprise frameworks.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud-native deployment.
Familiarity with Azure.
Highly hands-on, practical, and business-minded approach.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proactive and able to "get things done".
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide production support.
Detail-oriented and capable of building, testing, and deploying applications with minimal hand-holding.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain RESTful and Web APIs ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Redesign and modernize legacy Windows applications for migration to Azure.
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, procedures, and stored procedures.
Apply security best practices and understand common vulnerabilities.
Collaborate closely with onshore/offshore teams and stakeholders.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions quickly.
Participate in technical interviews, demonstrating hands-on expertise.
Implement version control, documentation, and lifecycle management for APIs using tools such as Swagger (OpenAPI), Postman, and Azure API Management.
Ensure APIs adhere to enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards.
Focus primarily on backend and API development; minimal front-end involvement.
