We are searching for a result-oriented AP Specialist to join our Vantage Elevation Team. About Us Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1899, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. The primary responsibilities of the AP Specialist are to prepare journal entries and account reconciliations and to receive, process, verify, reconcile, enter and post invoices and to ensure timely payments to vendors/suppliers.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other related field preferred
• 3-5 years experience
• Comfortable with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Functional knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools, such as Excel
• Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Distinctly self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise records of all vendor payments
• Track outgoing payments
• Responsible for paying and keeping record of all invoices
• Analyze accounts
• Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts
• Reconcile statements and payment records
• Ensure payment credits are applied correctly
• Streamline the payment process
• Assist with Audits
