About The Position

Johnstone Supply, North Americas leading wholesale distributor of HVACR equipment, parts, and supplies has a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. Over the last seven decades Johnstone has grown into the industry leader with over 450 distributor branches and 6 distribution centers throughout North America resulting in over $4 billion in annual sales. We work with some of the largest companies in the world, including Daikin/Goodman, Honeywell, Emerson, Johnson Controls, Google and Fujitsu, to provide contractors with world class products, technical expertise and quality service. As a member of the Finance Team, the Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for managing the customer service E-mail for dropship processing and ensuring that documentation is accurately recorded for the Accounts Payable Department. This would be a perfect transition role for someone with a customer service background looking to explore a career in Finance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 1-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to use PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an Intermediate level.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.   Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment; Ability to start and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to follow standard procedures; Ability to perform & complete repetitive work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manages customer service email related to dropship processing.
  • Performs data entry to accurately and timely process invoices and credits.
  • Perform special projects at the corporate level, including providing recommendations via written reporting.
  • Assists a large team with organizing documents in emails by electronically filing and indexing.
  • Other administrative duties assigned by manager.
