About The Position

The AP/AR Clerk supports the accounting team by performing routine accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a foundation in accounting within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–5 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Understanding of GAAP principles.

Responsibilities

  • Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Assist with payment processing, including checks and electronic payments.
  • File and maintain organized AP documentation.
  • Assist with vendor inquiries and basic discrepancy resolution.
  • Assist with customer invoicing and billing activities.
  • Apply customer payments to accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Update customer account information as needed.
  • Support AR aging reviews and collection follow-ups.
  • Assist with office duties such as filing, copying, scanning.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Support audits and provide documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including purchasing, operations, and sales.
