About The Position

The Accountant will plan, implement, direct, and coordinate all assigned accounting activities. This individual will report to the Controller.

Requirements

• Four year accounting or business degree
• Two or more years of accounting experience or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting, auditing, payroll and invoicing required.
• Knowledge of business machines and office procedures plus the ability to organize.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close functions including: journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, calculation of accruals, and allocations
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting as requested by upper management
• Maintain all accruals and fixed asset schedules on a monthly basis
• Assist in the preparation of schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits in accordance to GAAP
• Review and analyze monthly P&L transactions and look into all variances
• Ensure all financial controls are in place and the procedures are being performed effectively
• Manage daily banking transactions
• Manage daily A/R transactions including billing, collections, and contract review
• Intercompany transactions including foreign exchange
• Setting up projects and vendors
• Entry level tax filings
• Other ad hoc reports as requested by CFO, Controller, or Project Cost
• Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of reports for the projects and in doing so is required to work closely with accounting associates, financial associates, project managers and occasionally executive level management.
