NATURE AND SCOPE: We are seeking a highly motivated and Analytical Summer Intern to support our Finance, HR, Marketing, and Philanthropy teams through data analysis and reporting. This role is ideal for a student with a strong foundation in accounting, finance, or data analytics who is eager to apply their skills to real-world business challenges. The intern will work with cross-functional data sets to help generate insights, improve reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or master’s program Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics / Data Management, Business Analytics or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as: Tableau or Power BI
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Ability to work with large datasets and identify trends
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including Criminal Record check, Drug Screening, motor vehicle record (MVR) and reference check according to company policy.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Rising senior undergraduate or graduate student
  • Exposure to SQL or other data querying tools
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks)
  • Interest in FP&A, business analytics, or strategy

Responsibilities

  • Financial Data & Analysis Support financial reporting, data validation, and analysis
  • Assist in identifying trends, variances, and key financial insights
  • Help maintain and improve financial dashboards and reporting tools
  • HR & Recruiting Analytics Analyze recruiting and workforce data including: Turnover, Retention, and Time-to-fill
  • Assist in building and maintaining recruiting and HR dashboards
  • Identify trends and provide insights to support talent strategies
  • Marketing & Engagement Data Support analysis of marketing performance and engagement metrics
  • Assist in tracking campaign effectiveness and identifying trends
  • Help develop dashboards to visualize marketing data
  • Philanthropy & Impact Data Analyze donors, campaign, and fundraising data
  • Support reporting on philanthropic impact and engagement
  • Assist in creating dashboards to track giving trends and outcomes
  • Data Visualization & Reporting Build and maintain dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Partner with team members to improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency
