About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative individual to join our organization, working on the Engineering Organization Chief of Staff and Global Communications team. This role will serve as a critical partner to senior Engineering leadership, driving strategic initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration within organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing business processes, supporting key decision-making, and ensuring the effective execution of divisional priorities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a strategic support, project management, or operational role within a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
  • Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving capabilities, comfortable navigating complex data and workflows.

  • Strong proficiency in standard business productivity software, including advanced experience in presentation and manipulating data using spreadsheet applications; ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required: preferred degree in business, finance, communications, management, organizational development, human resources, public relations, marketing, or consulting preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience within the financial services or technology industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and AI Tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Communication: Drive communications strategy for the engineering organization and curate a robust content pipeline to convey divisional priorities, enhancing the Engineering brand. Utilize the firm style guide to develop and approve internal communications throughout the organization. Review key external engagements to strengthen the external brand and ensure we are engaging with the correct stakeholders and initiatives.
  • Project & Program Management: Facilitate and manage cross-functional efforts on a variety of strategic initiatives and special projects related to location strategy (e.g., seating expansion and office buildouts), organizational growth (e.g., headcount planning, efficiency initiatives, and budget optimization), and delivering on technology goals
  • Strategic Partnership and Management: Collaborate closely with senior leaders to define, monitor, and advance strategic objectives and key business initiatives. Assist with executing priorities to elevate our Engineers and the Goldman Sachs Engineering brand internally and externally
  • Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains, designing and implementing solutions to improve accuracy, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain organization reporting for strategic growth and efficiency projects to effectively communicate progress on key initiatives in a clear and concise manner.
  • Business Planning & Analytics: Support annual business planning cycles, financial forecasting, and resource management, utilizing data to inform strategic decisions and track performance.
  • Organizational Development: Partner with Human Capital Management and other relevant teams on talent management, organizational design, and workforce strategy initiatives.
  • Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address operational challenges, analyze potential risks, and propose effective solutions to maintain business continuity and drive progress.
  • Coordination: Manage key business meetings and events for leadership and regional stakeholders.
