About The Position

About this Role: Support management in administration and development of the organization’s international sales operations. Collect market data to analyze international business initiative opportunities. Support sales administrative systems and coordinate international customer and distributor outreach, communication, and programs. Contribute to research and development of new international market opportunities. Generate and deliver reports that analyze the competition and assist in developing strategies ensuring product success in international Residential, Commercial, Golf and Lighting markets. Research and analyze competitor market information to support the successful positioning of company products internationally and share the information with the Product Management teams. Support international business development projects for future adjacent market expansion. Assist with development and implement systems to administer international distributor buying programs, terms, conditions, and net pricing. Draft, negotiate and process distributor, marketing and sales agreements, customer claims and other legal correspondence. Track international irrigation and lighting projects, and product forecasts to enable integration with 3rd Party Logistics management and product planning. Maintain international distributor and sub-distributor databases, including new distributor proposal analyses, and the online international portal. Support distribution of regional market e-blasts, customer segmented mailings and product support campaigns via e-mail and social media. Support Area Managers in the planning and administration of regional product trainings. Participate in company sales meetings, international customer fly-ins, trade shows, and other events. Communicate with international sales teams and distributors to facilitate, track, and analyze the results of regional product promotions and product launches, facilitate press relations and propose improvements. Conduct sales meetings, plan and organize events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three years of sales operations and sales analysis experience in the international landscape irrigation and lighting manufacturing market.
  • Using graphic design packages (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) to modify marketing materials for markets outside of the United States and to support distribution of market-segment specific e-blasts, customer segmented mailings and product support campaigns via e-mail and social media.
  • Using MS Office Productivity Suite, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Salesforce, and MS Teams to create shared workspace for collaboration on projects with onsite and remote teams both domestically and globally.
  • Organizing and conducting country-specific irrigation and landscape lighting product trainings and presentations adapted to local market segments for international importers, distributors and customers outside of the United States.
  • Organizing company’s participation in trade shows, industry events, sales meetings, and participating in these events.
  • Establishing and implementing systems to track international projects and product forecasts to enable integration with logistics, product and sales planning.
  • Maintaining and monitoring International Distributor Agreements, Marketing and Sales Agreements, customer claims, and international legal correspondence; must include registering the company on international projects portals.
  • Formulating and recommending plans, practices, and objectives for sales activities in international residential, commercial and golf irrigation and lighting market segments.
  • Working with sales promotion budgets and monitoring ROI.
  • Developing and implementing sales and business development strategies based on market research and competitor analyses.
  • Communicating with international sales teams and distributors to facilitate, track, and analyze the results of regional product promotions and product launches, facilitate press relations and propose improvements.
  • Position requires 5% domestic and 10% international travel; expenses paid by employer.
  • 40 hrs./wk.
