About The Position

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, is part of the U.S. family of brands, which includes five leading omnichannel grocery brands – Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop. Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more. This role partners with Brand or Corporate entity to align the planning and execution of all move, add, change activities in support of remodels, new store openings, new departments, store expansions, acquisitions, and divestures as needed for that Brand. This role is responsible for the capital planning and forecasting needs for these activities for their designated Brand(s). This role partners with multiple suppliers to ensure all IT activities are delivered consistently within our standards, properly securing, storing, staging, and deploying our IT assets as needed for their Brand or other Campuses as needed. Ensures that outsourced service providers support all IT software and hardware systems in accordance with the terms, conditions (SLAs) of current contract agreements. This role provides daily, weekly, and monthly operational oversight for internal customer facing requests, projects and initiatives in addition to working closely with peers to keep an aligned support structure. Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 5 in-person days at one of our core locations. Our core office location is Scarborough, ME. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Technology and/or Business related field
  • Equivalent trainings/certifications/experience equivalency will be considered
  • 3 or more years of equivalent experience in relevant job or field of technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate across the organization
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to closure
  • Highly collaborative with proven experience partnering & influencing

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in relevant field of study preferred
  • Additional trainings or certifications in relevant field of study preferred
  • Experience in Agile teams and or Product/Platform based operating model
  • Experience in retail or grocery preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages all Support IT projects, initiatives and requests are updated and on schedule to meet set SLAs, SLOs, and business needs to allow for our customers to continue their functions in the business as efficiently as possible with resources we have available for the specific brand
  • Develop project plans to manage/lead complex IT projects of the IMAC team for our brands. This includes, but not limited to, new stores, remodels, small projects, closing stores, and ad hoc IT requests. Frequent travel for on-site project work to lead projects. This includes frequent driving to locations and occasional flights that will include overnight stays at times. On site may be needed for construction work, due diligence visits to plan for projects, and leading on site partners to complete IT project tasks.
  • Oversees routine systematic changes at retail following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) change management practices
  • Consults with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications for PC or peripheral related needs through vendor managed service
  • Engages with specific Brand, ADUSA, and/or PDL leadership for planning future projects and initiatives for the business
  • Drives the partnership with multiple suppliers to deliver the various project services to our standard while driving continuous improvement
  • Manages new equipment/software requests and monitors procurement and deployment activities throughout the retail and corporate environment leveraging appropriate vendor management responsibilities.
  • Oversees Capital planning for software, hardware, and deployment services for a specific Brand
  • Reviews current business and associate processes and makes recommendations for best practices
  • Develops and delivers periodic metrics and Executive management reporting results to key IT, business and support executives.
