About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to be responsible for managing financial records and preparing various reports while supporting the Accounting Services department. Also provide assistance to the Corporate Finance team as needed with its ongoing financial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 3-5 years related accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle)
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel/MS Word/MS Office
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and Strong time management

Nice To Haves

  • Public accounting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate posting of journal entries and transactions for month end
  • Perform Account Analysis and Account Reconciliations
  • Reconcile/Review Bank accounts Daily
  • Review Corporate Bank account to assist A/P with various inquiries
  • Primary Financial Resource for ancillary Baptist Business Entities
  • File Annual/Quarterly Business Tax Filings and Monthly Sales/Use Tax.
  • Assistance as needed with Annual audit, Tax filings and Special projects.
  • Provide assistance to the Corporate Finance team as needed with its ongoing financial activities.
