About The Position

Toyota Financial Services is looking for highly motivated people to fill multiple openings as an Analyst in one of our Analytics teams. The primary focus of our Analytics teams is to generate actionable insights by leveraging data and using effective data storytelling to help our company make better data-driven decisions. Analyst, Data Analysis Leverage technical skills, business knowledge, and problem-solving skills to provide analytical insights and reporting to help the business make better data-driven decisions. Provide value by answering business questions and drive efficiency gains with a focus on the following areas: Servicing, Voluntary Protection Products, Sales, Legal and Compliance, Accounting, Risk, Fraud, and other areas. Intellectual curiosity - always making an effort to understand and find the truth in the data.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or similar analytical / STEM field.
Demonstrated relevant experience coding in SQL, Python and/or R (this will be tested before and during interviews).
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
Creative and quantitative problem-solving skills with experience in Data Acquisition, Manipulation, Cleaning, Analysis and Presentation of Results.
Experience with statistics.
Presentation skills with experience proposing strategic recommendations to management and clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience and willingness to collaborate with others.

Nice To Haves

MBA or Master's degree in an analytical field.
Background in Auto Finance or Consumer Lending industries.
Professional experience in one or more areas covered by the Analytics Job Family (see list above).
1+ years professional experience with statistics outside of a scholastic/intern/co-op environment.

Responsibilities

Uncover business needs and the true questions that the company is trying to answer in order to properly frame your analysis.
Leverage your SQL/Python/R coding skills to pull and organize data that is needed for your analysis.
Find insights buried in the data by applying your arsenal of creative problem-solving, data exploration, and quantitative analytical skills (including statistical methods).
Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible actions based on your insight, taking into consideration our customers, our employees, and our company.
Recommend actions based on your insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Tableau), and clear and concise verbal and written communications skills.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to help implement and measure recommended actions.
Build relationships with key stakeholders across Toyota such as Sales, Marketing, Servicing, Insurance, Risk, Technology, Legal/Compliance, Finance, Treasury, etc.
Continuously improve your analytical, technical, communication, and people skills through offered training and on-the-job experience to prepare for advancement into analytical leadership roles.
Become a subject matter expert for your business area by developing a comprehensive understanding of its strategies, processes, policies, and data.
Guide/mentor other analysts on best practices for analysis and data storytelling.
