About The Position

Under general supervision of the Clinical Applications Manager, the Ambulatory Specialist is responsible for providing support for Ambulatory Care and Practice Management software product(s) and other applications assigned (for external and/or internal customers). This position provides ongoing support for configuration, design, implementation and troubleshooting for the Ambulatory Care/Practice Management applications and suite of products and related systems; and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Diploma: Computer Science, Information Management or other related Computer/Technology/Systems preferred.
  • Associate Degree: Computer Science, Information Management or other related Computer/Technology/Systems preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science, Information Management, or other related Computer/Technology/Systems preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a physician/medical office or hospital setting utilizing information technology.
  • Good communication and analytical skills required at all customer service levels.
  • Strong familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues related to software.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and the ability to work in a fast paced environment and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience in a physician’s office/medical clinic or hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience with clinical applications preferred.
  • Proficient in electronic documentation systems and/or in their use for outpatient care and proficient troubleshooting technical issues related to clinical software preferred.
