About The Position

We’re looking for a full time AM Restaurant Manager to join our team at the Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row, a modern, lifestyle hotel located in one of DC’s most vibrant neighborhoods. This is an AM leadership role for a Manager with a strong passion for coffee culture and morning hospitality. The AM Manager will lead and execute the creative vision of the restaurant with a particular emphasis on the morning experience – from coffee program and barista execution to service flow, atmosphere, and guest connection. This role requires someone who genuinely enjoys early mornings, understands the rhythm and importance of a strong breakfast and coffee program within a hotel environment, and is comfortable jumping into barista and service responsibilities as needed. Success demands a hands-on, hard-working leader who thrives in build mode, leads from the floor, and takes pride in doing whatever the moment requires to establish a warm, consistent, and memorable start to the day for both hotel guests and the neighborhood.

Requirements

  • Must be someone with morning availability, and flexibility on weekends and holidays.
  • 2+ years of restaurant or hotel F&B supervisory/management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and guest-service abilities.
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead morning restaurant operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Execute daily execution of the coffee program – dialing in espresso, overseeing brew standards, milk handling, and beverage consistency.
  • Coach, train, and support a team of servers, baristas, and hosts as needed.
  • Oversee all opening or closing procedures during AM shifts.
  • Engage with guests, resolve concerns, and create a warm, welcoming environment.
  • Uphold service standards, safety protocols, and cleanliness across the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and hotel operations teams to ensure seamless service.
