About The Position

We are looking for an Aluminum TIG welder who will support the manufacturing and fabrication process of Sportsman Boats with emphasis on aluminum. What you will do: Build t-tops, rod holders, leaning posts, etc. meeting high quality standards and daily production goals Lay out, measure, and align metal work pieces prior to welding Assess welds to ensure they are clean, free of error and in accordance with relevant welding codes Read and interpret weld codes and blueprints Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to address issues Work as a team

Requirements

• Aluminum tig welder knowledge and experience
• Strong fabrication skills
• Ability to assess metal structures to identify and initiate repair of damaged welds
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to use small tools, operating air/hand tools, welders, grinders and buffing machines
• Close tolerance when measuring; strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to comply with safety guidelines
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment
• Ability to complete a weld test during our onsite interview
• High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the marine/boating industry
