The Alerts and Warnings Coordinator will be responsible for managing, planning, coordinating, and implementing the North Carolina public alert and warning program. This position will integrate FEMA’s Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) and the Emergency Alert System (EAS) to ensures efficient and equitable access to alerts for all populations, including rural and low-income communities, tribal areas, individuals with access and functional needs, the deaf and hard of hearing, and non-English-speaking populations.
