JOB SUMMARY The Alcohol Loadout Operator I is responsible for safe and effective operations of alcohol barge loading and unloading.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math and algebra skills
  • Self-starter who is able to operate without direct supervision
  • Able to understand and comply with plant GMP and personnel practice requirements
  • Transportation Worker’s Identification Card
  • Merchant Mariners Document with Tankerman-PIC (Barge) Dangerous Liquids endorsement
  • High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, and writing), Associate’s Degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as Operator II preferred
  • Previous experience in Alcohol Loadout department preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, gauge, secure and seal barges
  • Ensure proper barge mooring
  • Operate offload pumps
  • Monitor barge loading operation
  • Operate equipment within parameters to achieve desired results
  • Samples product throughout the process to maintain quality and specifications
  • Maintain a clean work area through performance of housekeeping duties
  • Completes all required documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
  • Maintain communication w/ Alcohol Loadout Production OP 2 and Dockhand
  • Perform environmental verifications and record as needed
  • Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements
  • Adhere to all Coast Guard rules and regulations
  • Assist in the review and creation of production SOPs
  • Informs supervisor and affected personnel immediately of any hazards, unsafe equipment and/or acts
  • Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process plans
  • Other similar duties as assigned
