The Aircraft Worker performs pre/post-operational checks, fueling, and operation of aircraft and support equipment, including conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance. This role involves aircraft movement, fuel/defuel operations, rotor system tie-down, blade restraint installation/uninstallation, securing aircraft and blades, servicing aircraft/engines/transmissions, and directing maintenance turns. The worker provides aircraft movement/direction and fire guard services during ground and flight operations, and must be familiar with all maintenance instruction manuals. Key duties include launching and recovering aircraft, providing helicopter landing signal services, using standard aircraft handling and taxi procedures, detecting corrosion, performing pre-operational checks and maintenance of support equipment, operating ground support equipment, checking for fuel contamination, replenishing fluids, and cleaning aircraft. Additional duties include housekeeping, participation in the FOD program, handling and disposing of hazmat, and complying with all safety regulations. The position requires obtaining all necessary support equipment licenses and maintaining a valid driver's license. The role is full-time, though 40 hours per week is not guaranteed, and requires working all work site shifts dependent on flight schedules and tasking. It may also involve working with foreign countries/cultures and completing Personal Qualification Standards (PQS).
