About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for an Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) Engineer to support the Fixed Wing PO/SEMA. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties: Responsible for tactical implementation of ASE strategy on Special Electronic Mission Aircraft (SEMA) product platforms during design, integration, test, and operational phases. The DSE will support the FW enterprise during pre-design phases and assist in the development of the FW/SEMA ASE strategy. Review design plans for SEMA programs for technical accuracy versus ASE requirements. Identify and coordinate in-service software updates for ASE systems. Support on-site testing of ASE systems to include laboratory facilities, contractor integration facilities, range test sites, and bed-down base locations, including potential OCONUS locations if required. This could include development testing, functional testing, performance testing, or regression testing. Coordinate resolution of ASE issues found during integration and testing. Research and review of existing and emerging technologies to support evolving ASE threats. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required, preferably a BSEE.
  • Individuals should have at least 10 years of overall relevant experience that includes RF detect and defeat.
  • Design and testing of ASE.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time, which may include OCONUS.

Nice To Haves

  • DoD TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Experience with near-peer and MDO threats to jet aircraft profiles.
  • Self-motivating with the ability to work both individually and within a team structure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
